Every year we see a release of new cameras and lenses, many of which we want to buy, immediately. We get excited to see new advances in technology or new focal lengths in lenses. This year was no exception to some pretty stellar announcements in the world of photography. For the holiday season, we’ve put together a sampling of the best cameras and lenses available!
This new camera from Canon offers a full frame sensor in a compact body, with a user experience that will be enjoyable for new and existing Canon camera owners alike. Offering a 30.3 megapixel sensor, a broad ISO range, 4K video and much more. This camera would be great for those interested in a broad spectrum of genres, including travel, landscape and of course, creating video. Consider paring the EOS R with the new Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM, a compact, versatile wide angle macro lens.

Fujifilm announced the X-H1 earlier in 2018. Offering 5-axis in-body image stabilization, a 24.3 megapixel APS-C sensor, 4K video and more. This camera bridges the gap from Fujifilm’s smaller cameras, into a great option for photographers who are capturing action, like sports or dance, as well those creating video content.
